Short-term tubes and MicroTubes are designed for on-the-spot measurements at a particular location over a relatively short time period. Short-term tube measurements may last from 50 seconds to 15 minutes or so depending on the particular Dräger-Tube and sampling pump. Most measurements take less than 4 minutes. The MicroTubes address low range detection into the ppb levels.

High precision guaranteed: The Dräger sampling tubes and systems are very reliable in use even with complex compounds and mixtures of substances.

Dräger-Tubes are used in conjunction with either a manual or automatic sampling pump using individual Dräger-Tubes or special 5 tube sets for simultaneous measurement. Dräger Pumps and short-term Dräger-Tubes® are not interchangeable with other manufacturers’ pumps and detector tubes.

Dräger-Tube Description:
Ammonia 0.5%/a

Standard range of measurement (20 °C, 1013 hPa):
0.5 – 10 ppm

Measurement Time (sec or min):
20 sec

Dräger-Tubes and systems allow identification and measurement of different substances even under difficult conditions. Ammonia 0.5%/a

Quick and targeted measurements
For spot measurement more than 500 different gases can be detected. The measurement usually takes between 5 seconds and 15 minutes. Furthermore, the easy-to-use Dräger-Tubes have already been calibrated and form a complementary unit with the Dräger-Tube pumps.

Easy handling
The Short-Term Tubes are used either manually with the Dräger-Tube pump accuro or automatically with the Dräger X-act 5000. The results can then be read directly at the end of the measurement process.

Fields of application

  • air examinations at the workplace in the range of legal limit values

  • technical gas analysis in the areas of emission concentrations / immission concentrations

  • measurements of compressed air / compressed gases

Flexible use
A large number of different gases and vapors can be measured by the Short-Term Tubes. These tubes are used e.g. for the determination of concentration peaks, the measurement of exposures in the inhalation area, the determination of possible leakages as well as for the analysis of air in sewers, shafts, tanks or other confined spaces.
