The Dräger Civil Defense Simultest (CDS) Kit uses specialized Dräger simultaneous tube sets to quickly and reliably detect the presence of nerve, blister, blood and choking agents.

Short-term tubes and MicroTubes are designed for on-the-spot measurements at a particular location over a relatively short time period. Short-term tube measurements may last from 50 seconds to 15 minutes or so depending on the particular Dräger-Tube and sampling pump. Most measurements take less than 4 minutes. The MicroTubes address low range detection into the ppb levels.

Dräger-Tubes are used in conjunction with either a manual or automatic sampling pump using individual Dräger-Tubes or special 5 tube sets for simultaneous measurement. Dräger Pumps and short-term Dräger-Tubes® are not interchangeable with other manufacturers’ pumps and detector tubes.

The Dräger CDS sets are prepackaged sets of 5 tubes for chemical agents. The time per test set is approximately 5 minutes as compared to 15 minutes for the individual tubes.
Quick and targeted measurements
For spot measurement more than 500 different gases can be detected. The measurement usually takes between 5 seconds and 15 minutes. Furthermore, the easy-to-use Dräger-Tubes have already been calibrated and form a complementary unit with the Dräger-Tube pumps.

No calibration
The tubes are calibrated at the factory and have a two year shelf life (storage between 41-77 °F). The Dräger accuro hand pump does not require calibration, just a simple leak test to confirm the pump will deliver the prescribed volume.
Easy to use
The Civil Defense Simultest Kit is ready for immediate use in emergency response situations. The measurement procedure is the same for each set, minimizing training. Laminated full color instruction cards are supplied to provide a quick reference on the simple sampling procedures and accurate interpretation of results.
