A superior handling rescue rope, New England Ropes KM III static kernmantle rope features composite construction, with the continuous filament polyester sheath braided over a continuous nylon fiber core. Featuring a weight-balanced construction with the sheath and the core each representing half the total weight, KM III is torque-balanced to eliminate any spin during a rappel. This provides excellent handling and knot-holding characteristics, as well as rugged protection from abrasion and cutting. The polyester sheath provides added protection from ultraviolet light and chemicals harmful to nylon, while reducing the strength loss and weight gain that occurs when nylon absorbs water.

Reed Thorne of Ropes That Rescue designed this connector to perform as a quick, one-handed attachment to a structure for maximum safety when placing belay protection. It provides quick connections to towers and other structures when protecting an ascent using a lead-climbing technique. The custom-designed aluminum ring reduces weight and provides a wide, smooth-bearing surface for the rope. The 1-in (25 mm) web has red wear indicators for easy inspection. The double-locking carabiner gate can be opened with one hand. Exceeds OSHA minimum strength requirement of 22.2 kN (5,000 lbf) for anchorage connectors.

Working at height requires reliable, quality equipment. The Azzard Tower Climbing Connector can be used with confidence in work-at-height maneuvers for industrial rope access or technical rope rescue when used in accordance with the regulatory safety standards it falls under. Always use life safety equipment and gear according to the regulatory safety standards for which it is classified and/or certified
