You can maintain fall protection while climbing or traversing structures with our Bypass Lanyard. One snap hook remains secure, while the second is moved to the next step. Each side is an arm’s reach long. Snap hooks are double acting, but can be opened with one hand. An oval screw link is used as the waist connector for minimum bulk and maximum security.

The padded backpack-type shoulder straps make a fully loaded bag easier to carry. Your hardware stays together so that it can be pulled out of the pocket before you deploy the Rope & Equipment Bag as you would an ordinary rope bag. Additional pockets on the X-Large size bag are designed to carry more web, edge protectors, harnesses, or anchor straps. These bags have proven themselves in the field and are now the standard pack on many fire department trucks and engines. Pockets offer quick access through side-release buckles. Use the included Multi-Loop Strap to connect your hardware together, then use a carabiner (not included) to attach the strap to the loop inside the center pocket. Often the solution to navigation in an unknown structure with poor visibility is a small cord attached at the entrance and deployed as a firefighter moves through the building, so he can retrace his steps to the entry point or be located by a Rapid Intervention Team. With a carabiner on each end, a partner’s line can be attached to yours to extend the distance. The 50 ft. length works well for residences and small structures.
