3M™ 8210V NIOSH N95 Particulate Filtering Facepiece Respirator with Cool Flow™ Valve

The 3M 8210V is a NIOSH N95 particulate filtering facepiece respirator with a Cool Flow exhalation valve that releases warm, moist exhaled air to reduce heat buildup and improve comfort during sustained wear. The respirator filters at least 95% of non-oil-based airborne particles when properly fit-tested, providing protection against dust, mists, and biological aerosols generated during industrial and construction tasks.

Construction features advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media for low breathing resistance, a soft inner facing for skin comfort, dual head straps for secure fit, an adjustable aluminum noseclip, and the Cool Flow exhalation valve for reduced heat buildup. Note that valved respirators are not appropriate for sterile environments or for source control where exhaled-air containment is required.

Common applications include construction dust exposure, woodworking, masonry, agricultural processing, and high-temperature industrial environments where extended respirator wear creates heat-stress concerns. The 8210V meets OSHA 1910.134 respirator program requirements when paired with appropriate fit testing, user-seal checks, and a written respiratory protection program. Replace the respirator when breathing becomes difficult, the filter is damaged, or facial seal cannot be maintained.
